FloorDAO aims for decentralized governance from inception.

Pre-launch

The first governance framework utilizes aFLOOR, the valueless governance token from the Copper LBP. Holders of aFLOOR will vote on whether or not to deploy the proposed FloorDAO contracts to kickstart the protocol. If the proposed FloorDAO code and parameters are not to community liking, then the protocol will not launch.

Post-launch

If the pre-launch vote passes, then the FloorDAO contracts will be deployed on Ethereum mainnet. The new governance token would be gFLOOR. Formal governance will continue to use either Snapshot or, if implementation is ready, then an on-chain Compound-style framework.
